So yesterday, I got some really exciting news. I got a new job! I am very excited, however, I must up-grade my wardrobe. Working at my current office job has been very very casual, jeans and a t-shirt. I try to keep it nice, but it's defiantly not business casual. So suggestions are welcome! I have an idea of what to wear and what NOT to wear. No jeans, no backless shirts or dresses-unless covered up, if I wear sleeveless I must wear something over. Skirts cannot be too short.
So, getting inspiration from Summer Finn from 500 Days of Summer (I love that movie!!) I gotta get a new white blouse, mine shrunk when a certain fiance of mine stuck it in the dryer. . . And grey slacks!

Okay soo the next five looks are from Banana Republic. I unfortunately cannot afford the BR look, but I can certainly find matches for less. :)
This dress is iffy, I know I would wear something over-top, but not sure, I just love the look though!
So if anyone has suggestions, please comment, I need all the help I can get. :)
I'm linking up with Lindsey from the pleated poppy!
Happy Wednesday!

Congrats on your new job! I love the purple cardigan and the pale blue one, too...good choices!
we have a banana republic outlet and I just scored some great deals over memorial day weekend! try marshalls too! they have a lot of Limited clothes and I love their slacks! great blog!
Congrats on the job! For my previous job, I found a lot of nice slacks at Target. I agree with mom2marbles on Marshalls. If you hit Marshalls or TJ Maxx at the right time, you can get some amazing deals. Now, I work at a casual work environment and wear jeans all the time!
congratulations! I love all the BR looks you have up there - such a great store!
Awesome, I just got a new job too! I found some really nice stuff at the Old Navy outlet, and most of it was clearance. And of course you should check out Target!
congrats! Target and Khols are great for cute affordable work clothes. JCPenneys also has some cute stuff too
Congrats on the new job! I really love your examples here. Maybe start with staples that you can build from like those slacks and neutral dress. You can work those so many ways!
Oh, congrats! I love your inspiration choices. I think it's a good plan to pick a few basics that you can mix and match, then gradually add to your wardrobe through time (maybe decide to buy a new item of work clothes with every paycheck). Have fun!
love all of those selections! yes, stick to basics! i fully agree with Alli,
