Knitting and Spinning Updates

One day closer to Friday! So I shall update you in the world of knitting and spinning. A lot has happened, and so I will attempt to bring everyone up to speed.

Hexipuff madness!!! These little cuties make up the Beekeepers Quilt with Kat and Celia.
This quilt involves knitting over 300 of these little puffers! A project throughout the summer! Will keep me warm next year!

I have started this new hat, Foggy Hat with some DK yarn instead of the recommended Worsted.
I think it will make a lovely spring hat. Might not be able to wear it for awhile-but oh well. :)

I have also been testing knitting for Annie, using her lovely green yarn and her Jaavesi pattern is coming along wonderfully!
I've been spinning lately, and a few weeks ago, Melissa the wonderful owner of Wool & Honey in Cedar held a fiber evening with Briar Rose Fibers which are fabulous! I behaved myself-but I walked away with some lovely Cormo (sheep on the left) and two hankies or silk!
So I spun up the Cormo and the purple silk hanky and here we are! LOVELY!! right?? Haha, I am not sure what I am going to do with this yet. I've been working hard at getting a supply ready for craft fairs this summer-but any takers now?

The blue hanky has been spun up and will be put with some lovely light brown alpaca! Silk and Alpaca what a great combo!

Tickle Me Tuesday

Last week flew by for me, sorry for the lack of posting. It was production week on the newspaper that I work at, and well time flies by so quickly. Anyways, I am ubber excited for it being Tuesday, it is also nearing the end of February, which means SPRING is nearing. :)

So I am linking up with Sarah today check it out, pretty awesome things!

Pretties by Meg, these earrings are really adorable!

Yarn has been shipped and I will be knitting one of these lovely Cowboy Cowl's very shortly! Just love it!

Okay, so I know I keep flipping on this situation. I lost some ground this weekend on the whole dog situation (sad face) Tom refuses to get a dog with any-kind of poodle in it. My reasoning was for the lack of shedding, but I guess that's not one of his concerns. So our search continues. . . however, I love pretty much any dog, so I'm cool with continuing the search. So, I know Tom likes Australian Shepherd-however, I KNOW they are rather energetic, but perhaps it would work. . . ? I know they are a rather needy dog breed, but honestly, I think that might work. Sounds silly, I know, but I like the idea of a dog wanting my attention and heck! think of the health benefits! Lots of play time would be good for both owner and pup!

Happy Tuesday!

SUPER BOWL RECAP!!!!

Sunday was once again SUPER BOWL!!! Wow how a year just flies by. This year was a bit more low-key than others, just family, however we had a Super Bowl FIRST! we Skyped Erin in from Iowa.

The meal-rather snacks I should say. Complete with table-clothe.

My parents Dog-Natasha is always ready for a party!

Caught in the moment-my Bro getting a plate full of food.

This year my Mum did a football cake. She switches between the field cake and the football one.

Decorations!

Oliver-my parents other dog being a good boy.

Tom won the first and third Quarter and Nic (my brother's girlfriend) won the second quarter.

He was pretty excited-so way I cause we always split the winnings.

Erin won the Trophy last year-so she handed it off to my Mum who won this year. We always take a photo of past winners.
Oh yeah, I got my hair-cut hahaha, I was waiting for another big reveal, but this will have to do for now.

Adam (bro), Mum, Austin (step-dad), Me, Erin, Uncle Jerry, Aunt Cheri.
Tom and Nic have not won the trophy yet. But they came out the winners of the Quarters though.
