Just got this scarf at Old Navy this past weekend :)

I want to be able to make this, just cute for fall!

Again, Tom's!! How I love thee!!

I just got a pair of "used" Dansko's off of Ebay. I am really really excited! I've wanted a pair since last year. They are just sooo expensive! So I found a pair on ebay. Really good condition! YEAH!!!!

Job Situation

Well. . . I am feeling a bit out of it. I found out today that I did not get the job in which I was dearly hoping for. I understand that someone was more qualified, and that I will never make the mistake of getting my hopes up for another job again.

I will lick my wounds and get back out there. Tom was comforting. I know I have a good job right now. But honestly, I would like more security. I want sick/vacation time, I want benefits. Is that so much to ask for? (guess so)

I will continue to endeavour to get out there and now I know even more.

This last year has been tough. The job market is cut throat that after so many rejections it gets tough getting another one. I wish people would hiring people because of the potential that they could bring in. Not just because they have experience with the job. It was something I wanted to do, and wanted to learn about.

My internship is almost over and Fall is right around the corner. I know something is out there for me. Something that is going to appreciate me a whole lot more. My time will come, and when it does watch out!

Here comes Fall part two

This Fall I think it will be all about muted pieces with bright accents.
I am really excited to add color to grays and blacks with a pop of color. :)

I am excited to wear skirts and dresses with scarves and tights with cozy sweaters. The last two days it felt like a bit of autumn in the air.

Trip to Ohio

As promised here is our trip to Ohio. We went to an African Safari on Saturday and Sunday Morning. Sunday was much better because all of the animals were super hungry.

This little guy is known as a Dik-Dik (yeah, I laughed too). He is the smalled Antelope in Africa. (Humor was not lost)

This is a pigeon. Man, too bad New York doesn't have birds like this.

The Giraffes were awesome!

Tom was trying to get their tongues out. They were super long.

I loved the Zebra's hair!

I was trying to get their crazy teeth, but instead got this shot instead.

Cali (Tom's niece) was feeding the baby giraffe.

They love love love carrots.

My fav was the buffalo! They were awesome.

This was a baby buffalo.

While I was taking this shot, my window was down and well another head came into my window and well the car was rocking a little bit. It was funny watching them stick their whole heads into the car looking for food. They were also slobbering. This guy's breath stunk!

They were soo cute.

Not sure what these guys were, but they were awesome. Couldn't feed them though.

This is a Scottish Highland Cow. He looks a lot hairier in the winter, but he had shed it all. He didn't want to move. . . poo.

However, these guys had no problem eating. The sign at the beginning at the Safari said "enter at your own risk" I was wondering what they meant until now.

Wildebeest were again in a separate pen. Sure they don't look as dangerous as the Longhorns.

Tom enjoyed the llama's. Their lips have a slit in them and they are like two fingers grabbing the food.

A deer from another family. Not sure what they were.

These male Elks were cool. They were trying to take the cup away from Tom.

The big Elk again.

Tom was trying to hold onto the cup.

The Marblehead Lighthouse. SUPER crowded.

Maui with the Frisbee

It was soo hot Saturday that swimming felt good.

Sorry For the Delay

Okay, so life has been a bit stressful lately. I won't go through all of the meltdown-drama details. But I had my interview, and I have yet to hear anything back. I know that there is a ton of other positions being filled. So it is taking awhile to get call backs, but it is beginning to weight on me. I know I shouldn't be thinking about it all the time, but when I try not to think about it, I only think about it more.

I really really want to know SOMETHING. Even at this point if it is bad news, I want to know. That way I can make arrangements otherwise. Plus my employers want to know as well.

But that is not the only reason why I haven't posted in awhile. This last weekend, Tom and I went down to Ohio to see his sister brother-in-law and niece. It was really hot and humid out Saturday that it was almost hard to breathe. I will have more details and pictures to load tomorrow.

Today is sooooo much nicer outside. It is about 74 and not HUMID. Ahhhh feels soo good. I like being warm, but 90 + 99% Humidity was unbearably hot and sticky.

The rest of the week should feel a lot cooler. Ahhh, there is almost a whiff of September in the air. . . I love September and October, my favorite months out of the year. Tom and I are thinking early September for our wedding. Still warm, but a little cooler, plus tourist are mostly GONE!

Anyways, sorry for no pictures yet. However, I will have a ton tomorrow.

Survive the rest of Monday!

Fall Picks

Whether I like at admit it or not, fall is just right around the corner. Well in Michigan Fall begins usually in September, before the actual fall really happens. Honestly I would love summer to stay longer and fall to come later and stay a bit longer. But that is not how it usually works here in the mitten.

So, here are some of my picks for fall clothing.

I also want to add, that this fall is a great time for a faux leather jacket. I don't believe in the real leather, I try to wear animal friendly fabrics. So a faux is the way to go. Plus scarfs. This fall is the time to wear it!
Blazer ( I want a navy blue one)
White button down
and great shoes. I have yet to find a pair that I want to invest in.
Boots are in, which I already have. I'll find a few pairs and post them.

Blueberry Picking

Yesterday, (Sunday) my family went Blueberry picking. It was really hot out, but we had a lot of fun.

Picking your own berries is also a lot cheaper than buying them.

My Aunt Cheri, Uncle Jerry and Tom getting ready to harvest our berries.

Tom was having a lot of fun.

The berries were HUGE!

I was looking for the biggest ones that I could find.

My Uncle was pointing out where more were.

I cannot wait to get started on some new recipes. I have a few in mind, Blueberry Cheesecake Muffins, Blueberry lemon bread, and Blueberry Zucchini bread YUMMY!!!
